Aggression on Gaza Aims to Resume War of Genocide, Ethnic Cleansing: PNC
Ramallah, 18 Mar (ONA) —- The Palestinian National Council (PNC) has stated that the aggression unleashed by the Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip is a war crime and genocide by any standard, aimed at resuming the war of genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people.
In a statement, the Chair of the PNC, Rawhi Fattouh, stressed that the aggression is a crime added to the record of ongoing crimes against the Palestinians, pointing out that Israel murders children and women to escape prosecution for corruption cases, perpetuate the rule of the extreme government, salvage its political future, and keep its promise to its far-right allies to resume the war of genocide and ethnic cleansing.
Annihilating dozens of innocent women and children is a stain on the conscience of humanity and the free world, as well as evidence of international inertia and numbness in protecting women and children and imposing the ceasefire, he noted.
Fattouh called on the international community to immediately act and ramp up pressure on the Israeli occupation to halt this criminal war and enforce the ceasefire, in addition to upholding its responsibilities in protecting the Palestinian people amid the degenerating humanitarian situation in Gaza.
He stated that shuttering the border crossings aggravate the suffering of the embattled Palestinians, stressing that the world must act urgently before these crimes morph into a plan of the entire effacement of the Palestinian people.
