Honoring Outstanding Students in South Al Batinah Quran Competition
A’Rustaq, 19 May (ONA) —— The Directorate General of Education in South Al Batinah Governorate today held a ceremony to honor outstanding students in the Quran Competition for 2024/2025 academic year, as part of its efforts to nurture students and instill religious and educational values.
The event featured various segments, including melodious recitations of the Holy Quran by top-performing students, a presentation of the competition’s message, and a visual film highlighting the contest’s objectives and stages. Additionally, choral performances showcased the impact of Quran memorization on young lives.
A total of 730 male and female students participated in the governorate-level competition, including 255 in the Tajweed and Beautiful Recitation category (120 males and 135 females), while 449 contestants competed in the
Memorization category (219 males and 230 females). Another 35 students with auditory and intellectual integration needs took part in the final rounds.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Eng. Ibrahim Said Al Kharousi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Heritage, the chief guest, honored 176 high-achieving students who secured top positions, along with several schools, supervising teachers, and members of the organizing committee.
