International Conference Discusses Updates of Sustainable Development in Engineering and Technology

Al Musanaa, 30 Apr (ONA) --- Deliberations of the International Conference on Sustainable Development in Engineering and Technology (ICSDET-2025) began today.

The two-day event is organized by the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Al Musanna, South Al Batinah Governorate, in collaboration with the Global College of Engineering and Technology.

It brings together a select group of researchers, academics, and specialists in engineering and technology to discuss the latest advancements in sustainable development, exchange expertise, and explore relevant research trends—contributing to innovation and promoting sustainable technical solutions.

The conference focuses on key topics in engineering and technology, including innovations in data and computing technologies, future communication and electronics systems, renewable energy, as well as smart manufacturing and mechanical engineering. It emphasizes the importance of integrating technological development with environmental preservation.

Featuring over 100 research papers highlighting advancements and initiatives in engineering sectors, the event also includes keynote speakers from Oman and abroad, who will share their experiences and insights on themes aligned with the event’s objectives.

Serving as an international scientific platform, the conference fosters collaboration between academic institutions and industrial sectors while supporting national efforts to achieve the goals of Oman Vision 2040, particularly in economic diversification, sustainable environment, and knowledge-based economy
