Wadi Bani Khalid Public Library Opened

Wadi Bani Khalid, 8 Jul (ONA) Wadi Bani Khalid Public Library was officially inaugurated today in North A’Sharqiyah Governorate. The library operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth.

The event was held under the patronage of Mahmoud Yahya Al Dhuhli, Governor of North A’Sharqiyah.

Mohammed Hamad Al Sifi, Chairman of the Library's Board of Directors, emphasized the importance of preserving books and libraries as a reflection of a nation's confidence in and appreciation for knowledge. He described libraries as educational and scientific institutions that serve as leading cultural landmarks, having produced generations of scholars, thinkers, and leaders who contributed to the advancement of their nations.

As part of the inauguration ceremony, the chief guest launched the first edition of Wadi Bani Khalid Competition for Quran Memorization and Islamic Sciences.
