Third Edition of Traditional Shooting Championship Concludes in Musandam Governorate

Khasab, 12 Feb 2026 (ONA) --- The 3rd edition of the traditional shooting championship concluded today in the Wilayat of Khasab, Governorate of Musandam. The event, held as part of Musandam winter festival, drew wide public response due to the fact that it represented a way of safeguarding aspects of the Omani heritage.

The championship, organized by the Office of Musandam Governorate, aimed to highlight traditional sports that constituted a cornerstone of Omani national identity and offer an opportunity for fair competition.

Nadir Suleiman Al Shehhi won first place in the championship in which he registered 52 points. Second place went to Saad Said Al Shehhi (45 points), while third place was won by Abdullah Ali Al Shehhi (40 points).

The trophies were handed over to the winners by Sheikh Abdullah Salim Al Farsi, Wali of Khasab.
