Musandam Youth Forum with Future Visions
Khasab, 19 Nov 2025 (ONA) --- The "Musandam Youth Forum 2025" program concluded today, with wide participation from Musandam youth across various specialties and fields, and in the presence of a number of officials and representatives of government entities.
The event was organized by the Directorate of Culture, Sports and Youth in Musandam Governorate.
The forum comes within the efforts of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth to enhance youth participation in national development and provide wider spaces for dialogue and interaction with government institutions, in addition to strengthening the presence of youth in the development process by providing a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences, supporting cooperation among participants, and equipping them with personal and professional skills that contribute to their effective participation in society.
Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al Mulla Al Shehhi, Director of Culture, Sports and Youth in Musandam Governorate, said that involving youth in shaping their future visions represents a priority in youth work. He stressed that the forum provides an open space to introduce the role and services of government institutions, contributes to closing the gap between the citizen and the official, and also strengthens national identity and entrenches the values of citizenship, especially among school and university students.
The two-day forum activities included interactive workshops, brainstorming sessions, and exhibitions of youth initiatives, alongside literary segments that included poetry recitation, as part of a program designed to move away from the traditional nature of youth events.
The forum concluded with a final statement that included a number of recommendations, most notably establishing a youth platform for knowledge exchange in the fields of education, sciences, arts, innovation, and entrepreneurship; implementing training programs and workshops to develop personal and professional skills; providing the opportunity to learn about international experiences in various sectors; supporting the offering of job opportunities and youth projects that align with the labor market needs; investing in technology to provide innovative solutions to the challenges facing youth and highlighting and marketing outstanding youth models at the local and regional levels.
