1 Child Died, 2 Injured in Residential Building Fire in Eastern Berlin

Berlin, 12 Feb 2026 (ONA) --- A child died and two others were injured in a fire that broke out in a residential building in eastern Berlin, the German capital.

According to German authorities, the fire broke out last night in a 20-story building, resulting in the death of a child. Another child and a woman were found unconscious, their condition remains unclear.

Approximately 60 residents were able to evacuate, and around 170 firefighters were deployed. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
