Royal Decrees
Muscat, August 17 (ONA)--- His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has issued three Royal Decrees as follows: Royal Decree No. 79/2011 amending the Arabian Oryx Sanctuary to the Natural Living Sanctuary in the Al Wusta Region. Article One: The name of the "Arabian Oryx Sanctuary" is amended to the "Natural Living Sanctuary in the Al Wusta Region" whenever it appears at the aforesaid Royal Decree No. 4/94 and the annex attached to it. Article Two: The decree takes effect the day following its date of publishing. Royal Decree No. 80/2011 establishing the Al Jabal Al Akhdhar Sanctuary for Natural Sceneries. Article One: Establishes a natural sanctuary called "Al Jabal Al Akhdhar Sanctuary for Natural Sceneries". The area with the measurements shown in the attached annex and map will be allocated to it. Article Two: The Environment and Climate Affairs Minister shall issue the decisions that implement this decree in coordination with the respective ministries and entities. The regulations should include the management method for the sanctuary, the regulations for entrance, prescribed entrance fees, the timings for entering it, the permissible activities, the banned activities and the proper penalties for each violation. Article Three: The decree takes effect the day following its date of publishing. Royal Decree No. 81/2011 approving the surrender of Rex Oil and Gas Ltd and Petroci Holding for the offshore block No. 50 of its rights and obligations in the oil agreement signed on February 28th, 2011 to Masirah Oil Limited. Article One: Approves the surrender of Rex Oil and Gas Ltd and Petroci Holding for the offshore block No. 50 of its rights and obligations in the aforesaid oil agreement signed on February 28th, 2011 to Masirah Oil Limited.
