SQU Digital Eye Exhibition Opens

Muscat, March 9 (ONA)--- The Digital Eye Exhibition was opened at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) today under the auspices of Dr. Said bin Ali al Yahya'ee, SQU Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Community Development.

    The exhibition aims at finding an ideal contact environment between SQU students and the community, the government and private sectors in the new technologies areas, familiarizing students with the latest systems in the field and applying theories learnt by students.

     The exhibition also focuses on information technology communications (ITC), students' projects, the participation of the Education Ministry, laws and systems of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) and the Information Technology Authority (ITA).

     The exhibition covers systems, such as 3 dimension system show to indentify persons and their identities without using cards or passwords, in addition to, showcasing a device to contact with the computer via the voice, among others.
