Sharia and Practical Aspects of Islamic Sukuk/ Training Course
Muscat, Feb 4 (ONA)--- The Central Bank of Oman (CBO), in collaboration with the Islamic Institute for Research and Training of the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), is organizing a training course under the patronage of Hamoud bin Sanjour al-Zedjali, CBO Executive President.
The course, being held during the period from February 2nd to 6th, comes within the CBO's endeavors to develop the capabilities of the human resources working in Islamic banks.
A number of Islamic Sukuk specialists give lectures on Sukuk, the main Islamic finance tool. The course is the second one organized by the CBO about Islamic banking since the beginning of this year.
The course discusses the concept of Islamic Sukuk finance, their main principles, the difference between them and the other traditional tools, such as stocks, securities and financial derivatives.
The course will also discuss the major types of Sukuk based on Ijara, Murabaha, Musharakah, Mudaraba, Salam and the hybrid Sukuk.
A number of staff from the CBO, the Supreme Council for Planning, the Capital Market Authority (CMA), the Ministry of Finance, and the Secretariat General of Taxation and Muscat Securities Market MSM) take part at the course.
